Innovative Radio System at Port of Liverpool - January 2012
Radio communication specialist, North West Radio has devised an intelligent radio system to assist in the management of vessel traffic in the busy port of Liverpool. Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) are responsible for managing a huge area of sea from the North of Wales coast to the Isle of Man. The new radio system allows VTS at the port to provide a range of services from the provision of simple information messages to ships, to extensive management of traffic within the port or waterway.

The home is benefiting from a system called RMS-NET (Radio Messaging System), which as well as providing basic voice radio communication for the staff also gives text/status messaging, an integrated guard tour management system and a full reporting structure of all radio traffic held on a central computer database.
Knowsley Community Warden Scheme uses radio system - June 2005
Knowsley Community Warden Scheme has invested in a radio management system (I-Track) which is now providing real benefits to the local community and helping to make Knowsley a safer place. I-Track is a personnel management tracking system using GPS mapping linked into a two-way radio system to fully allow the monitoring of the warden’s movements during their working day. The scheme allows managers to communicate effectively with their wardens via text, voice and status messaging as well as providing movement details. The system has been supplied and installed by Northwest Radio of Liverpool.
